Obstacle of Affliction Damn, I love the entire album also. The Long Road is one of the greatest epic metal songs ever. Favorite track: In Silence.

M. P. Panopticon is easily one of my favourite atmospheric black metal acts - and Roads To The North proves why this is the case. Austin Lunn once again managed to craft a magnificent album that carries emotion, power and atmosphere in every note played. Highly recommended. Favorite track: The Echoes of a Disharmonic Evensong.

about

Panopticon’s “Roads to the North” marks a pivotal evolution in Austin Lunn’s journey, blending emotive black metal with Americana. This album not only builds on the acclaim of “Kentucky” but also ventures into new realms, incorporating melodic death metal with a finesse that elevates the project. It's a profound narrative of change, reflecting Lunn’s personal odyssey with intricate musicianship and heartfelt passion, making it a standout release that pushes the boundaries of folk-infused metal.
