Great it popped up as suggestion this morning :D

Metallurgical Fire Izah’s Sistere is captivating. Harsh and clean vocals are excellent. There are a lot of tempo changes that keep the long songs interesting. Beauty alternates with crushing intensity throughout the album. Highest recommendation. Favorite track: Finite Horizon.

Alice M. Lighthearted at times, and then you get assaulted by an expertly handled sludgy pandemonium.

Edit after a couple of years: This has become one of my all-time favorites, and I don’t say that often in my comments here. Favorite track: Sistere.

2015 sees the release of IZAH’s debut full length Sistere for wich the band teamed up with producer Jochem Jacobs (ex-Textures). Sistere has become a heartfelt 72 minute long musical narration through darkness and light, hope and despair. In four heavy atmospheric compositions IZAH takes the listener from serene post-rock passages to crushing hardcore grooves, from dark ambient to free form noise and from hypnotising black metal to massive walls of sludge
Blending styles such as sludge/metal/post-rock with the feelings evoked by other atmospheric metal acts such as Katatonia, Year of no Light and Agalloch, IZAH shows that “Sistere” will be climbing high upon the mountain of melancholic tunes in the year of 2015.
