Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once.....

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter.

This is way better than it should be with the monotonous riffs and drums. It’s a haunting album. I certainly hope this approach to drums is not widely emulated though.

Black metal can be of such beauty without coming short in aggression. On Vittra the aggression roots mainly from the great vocals. Powerful and mesmerizing stuff on this outstanding debut.

Very calm, soothing, yet strong and evocative melodies. Great introduction into the world of Forndom and a true, even if a bit short, escape from the world of men.
