SVÄLTORNA
Har du gått på mager ljunghed och sett hur allt förtvinar till morgondagens svältbygd? Har du känt hur allt förstelnar till en feberfrusen utmark trots slit och knäppta händer?
Makterna slukar allt i tystnad.
Jag har fyllt mitt hopp med hunger, och min törst har fyllts av längtan om att skörda tidens sådd. Jag behöver inga gudar om vår jord kan ge mig näring till att forma och att tro.
Ett till landskap i ruiner som har formats utan böner men som knådats utav nävar. Det som livnärde vår socken har i lönndom lagts i träda för att straffa den som brukar.

Listening to this recently makes me feel so nostalgic about it. Part 2 is a masterpiece to me it takes me on a trip to the past to some moments of childhood that's been long forgotten about.

Black metal can be of such beauty without coming short in aggression. On Vittra the aggression roots mainly from the great vocals. Powerful and mesmerizing stuff on this outstanding debut.
